He was looking for work after being cut from a radio gig he was starting to really despise. He then spent some time pursuing a "dream job" in computer graphics and design, as well as investigating educational opportunities to expand his CG&D skills. Unfortunately, the call from the Cookeville print house (who said they might be interested in working with me to develop skills on the Mac and Quark) turned into an extended "we haven't done anything yet". And my typing skills aren't quite enough for me to break into an ad house in Cookietown. Add no calls from any paper or a sign company, and so I resolved to get a "get by" job to pay for Drafting Training at the Vocational School. Will he get a job? What kind of job will he get? Can he cut such a schedule of work & school? Will he stay totally bummed out?
Addecco came through with a temp job as a Courier for my bank. That job almost knocked me out of my current job, but not quite!
Now I am happy to report that I am now gainfully employed by Aeroquip-Inoac. My job is sanding spoilers for re-painting. Not the most exciting work, yes I know, but it pays very well! I'm not 100% sure why I'm at AIC, but I'm sure the Lord has something for me to do or to learn there.
Will he ever get to do computer graphics again for pay? I don't know. I did however start a night class in drafting at TTCL (TN Technology Center, Livingston, the artist also known as "Vocational School"), so we'll see where that will lead me!
